Is This How to Wear a Sari?

Kalyan spent the morning experimenting on the different ways he could wear his Pooh blanket. This was his favorite! Ours too.

Anger

K doesn't like it when Mommy takes photos when his diaper needs to be changed. Not one bit.

Lazy Sunday...

Just lounging in his jungle chair...being kind and letting his mommy and daddy have a bite to eat and watch Cheers. A perfect afternoon!

Peace, Man.

Check out the cool hippie threads Krishna Mashi sent! Kalyan says, "Why can't we all just get along??"

Posing for Mommy

K sat in his bouncy seat long enough for his mommy to take a shower and make the bed! He's amazing...this was taken shortly after the seat had worn out its welcome. Happy Thursday!!

Exploring His New Bouncer!

Kalyan loves his new Fisher Price bouncer (thank you, Zach and Rina!). He's learning that he can make the cool blue light turn on and off! He also slept for two hours in his bassinet and gave Mommy a break during which time she did...other baby stuff! It's been a good day. :)

The Great Stroller Experiment

A big day for Kalyan! Today, little KBD met a whole 'nother set of grandparents to shower him with love and presents. Grandpas are absolutely GREAT for holding, hugging, coo-ing and even constructing! So, naturally, the Dilleys tinkered away at Kalyan's new stroller which we promptly took for a test drive after a delicious dinner (with lots of veggies courtesy of grandma Dilley...). The verdict? Our little man much prefers his mommy's arms :)

A Quick Bite

With all the commotion these days, Mama and Papa Dilley have been squeezing meals into their days any which way! Every morning, little Baby Dilley is up and about, bright-eyed, bushy-tailed and lookin' for some lovin'. This morning, however, was the first morning that Kalyan's bright, shining face didn't greet us all first thing in the morning. The good news? Papa Dilley had the chance to indulge in a little early morning snack :)

What Goes In...Must Come Out

Today, our studmuffin began to spit up for the first time! Always a good sign, especially since he is the hungriest little person this side of the Mississippi (a familial trait, perhaps).
Since he had a big day yesterday with two (TWO!) back-to-back doctor's appointments, today has been a rest day for baby (though not for mommy and daddy...). However, he is currently getting to know his fabulous Aunt Phambulous! Who knows what the evening holds when there's such phambulous-ness in our vicinity? Stay tuned folks :)

Making Progress

It seems our little "Hero Honda" decided last night that he really didn't feel inclined to be anywhere other than his mother's arms (great for the baby...not ideal for Mama Dilley's sleep cycle...). However, after some ingenious idea-cooking, courtesy of Mama Dilley and her especially talented Mama Bhattacharya, Kalyan has peacefully adjusted to managing on his own :)

Everyday is a new adventure when you're 3 days old! I heard rumblings that Mama wants a book report from our young hero by next week - off to create a reading list!

Homecoming Dance

Papa Dilley said it best:

"We have been waiting for you.... Welcome to this crazy world, Kalyan Bryant Dilley (kole-yun), our son born July 2nd @ 3:20 pm. He is beautiful and healthy. Mom is doing great!"

"Blissed & blessed: 5 years ago today, Mala & I went on our first official "date," and today we are bringing our son, Kalyan, home. Happy 4th of July!"

Little 2-day-old Kalyan Bryant Dilley (Kalyan Bryant Dilley) attended his very first homecoming yesterday: his own! Weighing in at 6 lbs 11 oz and 19 inches, this little stud muffin was cuttin' up a rug all day. As everyone gets to know the newest addition to East Ninth Street, his dance skills have certainly piqued the most interest! How does a baby boogie? He throws his arms about in a festive manner (much like his father, actually...) and squeals with excitement (should something come to pass which is worthy of such celebrations).

Life is simple for Kalyan these days. He eats. He calls. He makes diddles. Suffice it to say, however, when this little baby sets his mind to something, he really hits the ball out of the park...in all three situations!
